Breaking the Cycle: Group Therapy for Parents
- Name: Breaking the Cycle
Breaking the Cycle is a 12-session group to help parents strengthen skills to recognize the social, emotional, and psychological needs of their children while teaching them healthy ways to meet those needs. Parents will learn how their own childhood experiences have affected them as adults and as parents. They will learn how to recognize the needs of their children and ways to support their children in developing a healthy sense of self that will prepare them for the many obstacles in life.
Parents in group therapy will process through and gain insight into how each of the following effect the parent-child relationship:
- Trauma
- Communication
- Family conflicts
- Untreated mental illness/addiction
- Attachment/Connection
- Family dynamics/structure
- Social and emotional development
- Values
- Boundaries
- Discipline methods

Raising a Securely Attached Child

Becoming a More Authoritative Parent
Discipline Vs Punishment
Strengths-Based Parenting

Group Therapy Sessions will be held in-person at the
Dawn Institute Conference Room, 14535 West Indian School Rd, Ste 120, Goodyear, AZ 85395
When:
Every Tuesday 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM for 12 weeks starting March 7, 2023
Cost:
$40 per session for individuals, $60 per session for couples
Discount rate for paying in full: $425 for individuals, $675 for couples
